FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, January 19, 2012
(CORONA, CA) – 31st Senate District candidate Jeff Miller’s (R-Corona) broad list of local supporters continues to grow, as he announced receiving the endorsement of the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools, Kenneth Young, in his campaign today.
“Education is a priority for me. State government is failing our schools through statewide mandates and government waste. We need to reform the way we run our education system to ensure more funding should be going into the classroom and is not being wasted on bureaucracy,” said Miller. “We need to put control of local schools back in the hands of local parents, teachers and school officials, who know what’s best for our community. It’s an honor to have the trust of Riverside County’s top local education official in my campaign.”
Miller adds Kenneth Young to an extended list of local endorsements that includes more than two dozen local elected officials from every city in the district and a majority of the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. A full list of endorsements can be found at www.jeffmiller2012.com
The new 31st Senate District is entirely in the County of Riverside, and includes the cities of Corona, Norco, Riverside, Moreno Valley, Jurupa Valley, Eastvale and Perris.
Jeff Miller is the former Mayor of Corona and a long-time business owner in Riverside County.
